Field gearbox services

Broadwind Services technicians work nationwide to perform uptower inspections and repairs for wind turbine gearboxes.  Our experienced team can recognize and mitigate problems before they propagate and cause a full gearbox failure.  Our proprietary uptower tooling and techniques enable bearing and pinion replacements without removal of the gearbox and extended turbine downtime.  Further, we recognize optimum oil formulation and cleanliness as critical enablers of gearbox performance and life.  Our engineers use oil sampling and analyses to diagnose problems, and our fleet of oil change trucks is equipped with innovative systems to ensure the most complete flushing and filtration when changing to today’s newest oil formulations.
